I love this article! Our lives are so hectic - no wonder we eat crap! We don't even notice what we put into our mouth anymore. I would add one more intermediate step: make a point to set up your meal nicely. Don't just grab a plate or - worse yet - a microwave dinner container and truck it to the couch in front of the TV. Dust off your dinner table or kitchen island or whatever you can find that is appropriate to eat at. Set up your place complete with cutlery, a cloth napkin and a pretty glass (don't just save those lovely wine glasses for special occasions), light a few candles. Even if you are eating alone - you deserve to make it special. Besides, setting the table helps disconnect from other stuff that is not related to your meal.

well-said! Attention to everything we are doing is the both the easiest and the hardest thing to do. Food is such a sensuous pleasure (and not a sin to feel guilty about!) when we take the time to really experience it.
